Core Features
Using the Secure Camera
The Secure Camera saves photos and videos directly into your encrypted vault, bypassing your device's default Photos app entirely. This ensures maximum privacy from the moment of capture.
Why Use the Secure Camera?
Standard camera apps save photos to a library that is often synced to the cloud (like iCloud Photos or Google Photos) and is accessible by other apps. The UltraLocked Secure Camera is different:
- Zero Exposure: Media is encrypted in memory and written directly to your secure vault.
- No Cloud Sync: Your private photos and videos will never be automatically uploaded to a cloud service.
- Metadata Stripping: All identifying data (like GPS location, device model, and time) is automatically removed from the file.
How to Use the Secure Camera
- From the main vault screen, tap the Camera Icon in the top-right toolbar.
- The secure camera interface will open.
- Select a Mode: Toggle between Photo and Video mode using the picker at the bottom.
- Capture: Tap the shutter button to take a picture or start/stop a video recording.
- Save: The captured media is automatically encrypted and saved to your vault. A confirmation toast will appear.
